Monthly Review: December 2017

Monthly Review: December 2017

It’s the end of the year finally and I am so happy to say goodbye to 2017! I don’t know about you all, but this year has been garbage for me. For reading, in the first 9 months it was pretty awesome, but the end of the year has been just a really long slump. As I said last month, though, I’ve been happier and have had some good things come into my life, so hopefully things continue to improve!

I’m optimistic about the books I recently picked up though, especially The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo which has been receiving a lot of praise and was a favorite for my friend Jane! Hopefully this book will be the one that breaks my slump!

I hope you all have a wonderful new year, and thank you for sticking with me on my reading journey!

What I’ve Read

Nothing this month!
Though I have started quite a few books and it’s been difficult finding one that can hold my attention right now.

Book Haul

Humble Bundle

I was all, I’m not going to buy any books since I’ve been slacking these last few months, and then HumbleBundle happened. $18 for 26 books by a bunch of authors I admire? Uhm yes please.

  1. I TOTALLY SPAZZED OUT WHEN I READ THAT YOU GOT EVELYN HUGO, like, I CAN’T EVEN OKAY. (And thanks for linking me. :D)

I’ve never loved a book as much as I loved this one?? It’s so weird! And I didn’t even expect to love it!

You have so many books this month! How do you keep up with it?? LOL.

      1. Wooo thank you! And haha I don’t keep up that’s how. I gave in and bought a giant book bundle for charity. >_< Evelyn Hugo had such a long backlist at the library it's crazy! I'm gonna need to wait to check it out again to finish it, but I've been enjoying what little bit of it I was able to read. 🙂

  2. Oh my gosh, that Humble Bundle :0 how did I miss that?? Looks great. Although I think I might have one of those 😀 but just one xD
Thank you for sharing my post 🙂 and I am hoping that 2018 will be even more liberating for you personally, and hopefully you’ll get out of that slump as well 🙂 we should talk more! If only we had time turners, huh 🙂

    1. Indeed, time turners would make everything so much easier. I’ll definitely message you on twitter! Also haha yeah I’m so glad I caught the bundle, a friend of mine had linked it to me and I thanked her profusely for it.
