Monthly Review: January 2018

Happy New Year everyone! I’m so excited for this new year and relieved to put 2017 behind me. While I had a pretty great blogging year, my year in the rest of my life was utter garbage though it picked up a little bit around the end. Life is still complicated but I’m optimistic about the future. I’ve picked reading back up this month and while it’s not as much as my usual, I feel better kicking my reading slump, so hopefully this will be the beginning of another wonderful reading year. I’ll be joining at least one reading challenge this year and will pick up more if I am comfortable with how much I’m reading.

Otherwise? I’m just glad to be back and getting my life on track. Thank you to everyone whose continued to stop by or send me kind messages on twitter checking up on me. It’s honestly really helped with everything that I’ve had going on, you guys are the best. ❤

As for blog updates, I re-organized the menu up top and added a Writing Archive for all my non-review posts. Still a work in progress but it’s something! Also I added the commentluv plugin to the comments section, that way wordpress users can add a link their most recent blog posts to their comment. I really enjoy checking these links out so do use that feature!

  1. Wow. Sounds like you had a wonderful January Jamie. Hope your February would be as wonderful too. Also, I can’t wait to read your review of the other books in the Maze Runner series 🙂

    1. Aw thank you, I’m hoping that February is wonderful as well! Also yesss I totally need to get back to the Maze Runner series, it’s been a few years since I read the first one and I’ve forgotten some of the details. I might need to do a re-read to get my head back into the story. Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

  2. So sorry to hear that 2017 wasn’t great for you. 🙁 Sending you lots of hugs and moral support! <3 Feel free to DM me anytime you need to let something out. 🙂

Here’s to hoping that 2018 is a great year for both of us!

  3. I’m so sorry that non-blogging life has been rough lately, Jamie. That’s always frustrating. But I’m glad there is some light at the end of the tunnel! I find that my blog really helps me stay sane and happy when life gets rough.

That said, you had a really productive January! So many wonderful posts! Keep up the great work– and I love the header changes you’ve made. It’s easier to sort through your older posts now.

Thank you for the shout out, Jamie! <3 I look forward to following you more throughout 2018!
