Some of you might be saying, but Jamie, you’ve been running this blog for almost a year–isn’t it a little late to be posting one of these things? I know, I’m really bad at these things. This is sort of an exercise in being more open for me, as I’m painfully shy and really struggle with talking about myself in my usual blog posts. I know that the lack of personal posts makes my blog feel kind of sterile and I really want to change that! I’ve seen several variations of this tag floating around and I thought it would be fun to write my own questions, so here we are! Also yes, that hideous picture in the banner is me.

Where is your favorite place to read? At home snuggled in bed with a bunch pillows and a plush blanket.
Do you ever read ahead or skip pages: Never, I trudge all the way through.
Physical Books or Ebooks? I like both for different reasons, it just depends on my mood. I love the convenience of ebooks when leaving the house or staying up late to read while my husband sleeps. On the other hand, there’s something wonderful about thumbing through actual pages and holding a beautiful hardcover.
Audiobooks? No thanks, I really don’t find them all that appealing. I have difficulties with multi-tasking and can only focus on one thing at a time. I can see myself getting really distracted and not paying proper attention while listening to an audiobook and missing some important details. I can understand why folks like them and more power to them if that’s their preferred method of consuming literature, I just don’t think that they would be a fit for me personally.
Book Boyfriends/Girlfriends: North (Shimmer and Burn by Mary Taranta), Howl Pendragon (Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynn Jones), Vasya (The Bear and the Nightingale)
Marriage: Already married and I want to keep it that way!
Children: I have two beautiful daughters and that’s enough for me, no plans to have more in the future!
Career: I’d love to be a librarian or to teach literature at the high school or college level. Heavily debating going back for my masters degree in one or both.
Where Do You Want to Live? Anywhere as long as I have a house. Preferably near mountains, but not too rural.
